no DNS on VPN (7800vdox)

I created a PPTP VPN but it does not pass DNS to the client. This means that, for example, on my iphone where I cannot specify a custom DNS service it breaks name resolution/internet access. I can access locations from behind the router and I can open web pages via ip address, so apart from DNS I know that everything else is working fine.
I've read various posts for the 7800n stating that it doesn't support DNS passthru, with official replies saying they'd need the dx/vdox instead, but it's still not working for me

Works fine here from a iPhone (7800DX/VDOX), can you post some screen shots of your PPTP setup??

if i set all traffic to go through the VPN, web browsing is broken (going to the ip of google.com works, and whatismyip.com (via ip address) shows the IP of the VPN endpoint
if I don't set all traffic to go through then web browsing does work, but
www.whatismyip just shows my local. client IP

This was tested and working before, what firmware version are you using?? I will run some tests with a iphone 5 and report back once you have confirmed the firmware version

Just finished testing VPN tunnel with iphone 5, samsung note 3 and a win 8 machine, all working fine see the attached screen shots
The screen shots attached show a iphone 5 and samsung note 3 connected via 3G and then connected to the VPN tunnel (check the top of the screen shots) as you can see we used the domian name to visit these sites
Also attached is the screen shot of the 7800VDOX showing the WAN IPv4 address
Finally is a screen shot from a win 8 machine showing the DNS servers have been passed through the tunnel
