What now for my 7800dxl

Post by kenny70 »

I hopefully move into the fast lane in morning when I get connected to infinity (my speed will go from 2mb to close on estimated 60mb), I got sent the HH5 which has vdsl modem/router built in so is my 7800dxl now redundant or is there a way I can use it with HH5?

Plug a ethernet cable to from the HH5 (Home Hub 5) to the 7800DXL EWAN port, configure the 7800DXL to 'Ethernet' mode with 'IP Over Ethernet' 'Obtain A IP Address Automatically' then once your 7800DXL gets a WAN IP from the HH% (which will be a internal IP address) you then login to the HH5 enable DMZ and enter the new internal WAN IP the 7800DXL has obtained

Or if possible see if you can change the HH5 to 'Modem Only' mode
