Hi
Is there a specific way to configure or position the aerials on the router to get a decent signal upstairs ?
Has anyone tried a Wifi Extender with the 7800 DX ?
I'm tempted to add one just to get a stronger signal upstairs.
Thanks

Re: Wifi Range - Extender
My 7800DXL router is upstairs at one end of the house and I have the aerials at 45°.
I use a Edimax EW-7238RPD Wall-Plug Simultaneous Dual-Band Wireless-N Range Extender (300Mbps) very effectively downstairs to extend 2.4GHz and 5GHz into rooms on the other side of the house that were out of reach before, especially a sun lounge built on the other side of the exterior walls of the main house. You have to have additional SSIDs but in practice it is OK. The TV, Blu-ray player and Wii can also now get decent signals and these exclusively use the range extender's additional 2.4GHz SSID.

Re: Wifi Range - Extender
Way better then extend existing wireless signal (drops by half at every extender), as said above, is to setup another independent AP connected by wire to the router, it can even be the same SSID
