Hi ive owned my 7800N for a while now with no issues. However i cannot connect to the dedicated servers in the new Assetto Corsa racing simulator game.
I get multiple errors such as "unexpected packed" whilst trying to join.
My ISP is Sky BB (ADSL) and here is my config:
Encapsualtion: VC/Mux
VPI/VPI 0/38
MTU 1492
PPoA RFC2364
Auth Protocol AUTO


Im having no issues with any other games but many users reporting on the Assetto Corsa forums that they are having the same issues as me when connecting to this particular game.

I have inconsistent results, some servers on some days i can join with some errors and connect before the timeout, but mostly i cannot connect before the timeout. I can connect to particular servers without even opening ports, but opening all ports in/out tcp/udp does nothing. I have windows firewall disabled and dont run an anti virus on this machine (dedicated steam box).

If i use my old Netgear DG834GT i can connect to all servers with no errors whatsoever, so it must be something the 7800N is doing that my Negear is not.

Ive tried lots of settings and just flashed to the new 1.06h.dt2 software version but nothing helps.

Any advice? I cant even use my Netgear as the line is synced too high for it =/

I assume you have added a rule to the firewall, to allow all ports to be open (imcoming >> Any (ports) >> forward (action)) to your steam box??

I added it to Firewall and to the Virtual Server menus in the Router, but the thing is, in the past 3 days there was a certain sever i could connect to without having to open any ports at all.
And the bigger issue is that the dedicated servers all use different ports, so opening ports isnt the solution i think. I dont believe i should have to open any ports to connect to servers, in my DG834GT i had no ports opened either.

Did you have any issues before with these servers?? Or has the issue only occurred recently?
