I cannot get onto the configuration page for the 3100SN. I have reset the unit and when I try to open http://192.168.1.253 it times out. I used the instructions on this thread viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2514.
How can I open the config page to set up this unit??

After many attempts I finally managed to access the config page and set up the 3100SN. How can I be sure it is working correctly?

Normally you can try and access the 3100SN off a computer connected to the router (as long as they are on the same subnet) this should prove is the 3100SN is working, as you are using a connection to the router and not directly to the 3100SN

Thanks. You mean access the 31000SN config page from the computer connected to the router? Where do I check which subnet they are each on?

Check the IP address of your computer, if it shows as 192.168.1.x then you can attempt to connect to the 3100SN on http://192.168.1.253, if you are on a different subnet eg 192.168.0.x then you will need a fixed IP address set on your computer, in the same range eg 192.168.1.x and while still connected to your router try to connect to 192.168.1.253, this should prove if the 3100SN is talking to your router using the wireless connection.

Once done you change you IP address back to your preferred connectivity method (static or DHCP)

I checked the ip address and it was 192.168.1.10x. I then tried to connect to the 3100SN via http://192.168.1.253 but it timed out and I was unable to connect. This I assume indicates that something is not right. What else can I do to get this to work?

Set a static IP to the your LAN card, IP address - 192.168.1.200, subnet 255.255.255.0, and then plug the Ethernet cable directly to your Bipac 3100SN, then follow the attached guide http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... s-aprouter to setup your device as AP-client mode.

OK - I am able to connect to the 3100SN by the computer connecter to 7800DXL via http://192.168.1.253. Does this mean that all is working OK. I assume the signal strength in the room where the 3100sn is connected should be full on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Is this correct
