I've added material to the USB DLNA folder but was wondering is it possible to force a refresh so my LG TV can see the items without having to wait ages before the contents are updated.
I don't know how long it's supposed to take before you can see the new contents but it certainly isn't immediate!

Try to 'Unmount' the device found on the USB section of the router, then disconnect the drive and re-plugin the drive.
Also try restarting your TV if possible, so it searches for DNLA folders again

Unmounting and mounting is a bit drastic to do after every time you add a file.. it does update but I don't know how long it takes. I put a couple of files on it yesterday and only today have they become visible?
I've just now added a small movie file and I'm going to see how long it takes before it can be seen by any other device let alone the TV. I keep refreshing the directory but it's not showing the new file yet!
