2.4g wireless dead

My 2.4g wireless stopped working yesterday.

5Ghz is still working, but I have a number of devices that don't support 5ghz so that is not a solution.

I've tried powering the router off and on, disabling the 2.4ghz, changing the SSID, enabling the guest accounts...
I see the SSIDs in my available networks, but when trying to connect, 9 times in 10 I get "an error occurred joining the network"

When it does connect, I don't get an IP address. I changed to a static IP, but I am unable to ping anything on the network including the router, nor nslookup to any websites.

How long is the warranty on UK 7800 VDOX routers? I'll be disappointed if something is broken and it's out of warranty....

What firmware version are you running, I assume you have tried to a reset back to factory default settings?? (it will be best to make a backup of your config first, if needed you can revert back to it, if the reset doesn't help)

I am running Software Version 2.32d

I can try a factory reset... will a backup store *all* of my settings, firewall rules etc, and is there a way that I can re-load these back in without having to manually re-key it all?

It was working fine until I noticed my Apple TV no longer had a network configured. I thought it strange, but re-configured it to use the 5GHz. An hour later I noticed my Xbox had no wifi setup either - at this point I changed my laptop connection from the 5ghz wifi to the 2.4ghz, and realised it was broken

Yes stick to 2.32d, and lets see if you can get the wifi up and working first after a reset back to factory default settings :D also change the bandwidth for the 2.4ghz network to 20mhz

How do I do a factory reset without doing a firmware update? I've always done it via the firmware update option

Did a factory reset, changed the bandwidth to 20Mhz

Still the same problem. 2.4Ghz wifi just doesn't work anymore.

The router is 20 months old, so still in warranty. How do I raise an RMA?
