Wireless Bridge Speed question

Post by noriga »

Hi
Just bought and setup a Wireless extender ( Netgear WN3000RP-200UKS) as per in subject and I have noticed that no matter I try to change wireless speed to 300Mbps, this automatically drops to 145Mbps no matter how many times I tried to change the speed and saved the settings.

Is this parameter could be subject to any conditions setup in the router Wireless settings (8800NL) I am bridgning to?
Just trying to understand what is limiting the speed of the AP on this bridge and whether may be the router or the actual bridge causing this drop.

Thanks for your help and opinions.

If your 8800NL has the 'Bandwidth' set to 20mhz, then yes, you need to change the 'Bandwidth' to 20/40mhz
