ETEC7800DXL_2.32d.dr3.afw Firmware

Post by m-a-r-k »

I know this isn't mainstream but thought it ought to be addressed.

ETEC7800DXL_2.32d.dr3.afw does not generate any Security Logs.

Firmware was downloaded from this forum. Installed after rebooting with Factory Default Settings and reconfiguring from scratch.

Seems ok here, try the following

1. Do a 'All Service Port' scan with 'Shields Up'
2. Check your 'Security Logs' again

OK, all ports are stealthed and I do get some Security Log entries from Shield's Up IP address from port 966 onwards.
I used to get a huge amount of entries in the Security Log before this ROM update - strange.
I was worried that the router was not noticing these hack attempts and letting them pass through. However my Comodo Internet Security firewall isn't logging anything either so I guess I'm OK?
