I've searched through previous posts and couldn't find this addressed, so ...
I have a DXL router. I use it to provide internet to a desktop and a couple of laptops and Android devices.
My problem is that in order for me to get internet access on my laptop on 2.4GHz I have to change the wifi channel via the router management software. This lasts for about a day or two, but soon enough when I start my laptop it cannot connect to the router. I can see the router with 3 bars or so, just not connect to it. I must go on to the desktop and change the channel, from 5 to 11 for instance, and hey presto my laptop can connect.
For a day....
It makes no difference if there is interference on the channel reported or not.
My wife's old laptop connects without problem.
Any suggestions ?
Cheers.

Re: 2.4GHz and laptops
You can try changing the channel width to 20Mhz. Also you can try changing the channel to auto.
