struggling to get reliable IPTV / multicast issue?

Hi All,
I've joined talktalk, and trying to get the 7800dxl to work with the streaming iptv service is proving a problem. I've searched through these forums, and found some good postings where others have got 7800 variations working.
But I'm not quite so lucky. The original talktalk kit works fine, so I know there's nothing technically wrong stopping it. If I leave the box with upnp enabled (which id really rather have disabled) things seem a bit better, but even then, I get a picture for about 5 minutes or so, then it cuts off.
If I try with upnp disabled, wan ping enabled, port forwarding on the expected port setup, and all the rest of the settings, similar issue.
This guys post https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Tec ... d-p/969508 talks about setting up forwarding of multicast nets, I wonder if thats the missing piece? But I can't see any options for that (is it done automatically by one of the other multicast settings in the billion config screen maybe).
Really scratching my head with this one, seems really strange it would connect OK (and I assume thats the point that handshaking, firewalls etc would cause a problem if there was going to be one) but then drop off suddenly. Though, I do get a little warning message about picture quality just before it drops (though I assume that the packet stream has stopped, its just degraded before totally stopping).
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
