7800DXL with IP Camera

I have 2 IP Camera's setup with the above router wirelessly I was also able to give both static IP addresses and they work fine in the wireless area, I also have one working away from my home on my android Galaxy S4 via mobile data, but that was with the software that came with the IP camera and was more or less setup I presume via the makers software. The problem for me is the other camera which is a different model...I can access the camera,s browser page and get the HTTP and RTSP ports, but I have no idea how or if I can connect to the other camera while away from home.

I am using firmware 2.32D on the router and presume the problem is that mobile data doesn't have a static address, but I have no idea how to set the router to connect to the camera when outside or if I can, I could do with an idiots easy to understand step by step instructions on how to set it up or a link to a tutorial but any advice would be appreciated.

You need to setup port forwarding for the device, (using the virtual server section) then once done, you should be able to access your IP camera using the WAN IP address the router has obtained

Hi Billion_fan, Thank you for your reply and sorry for the late response from me...but I have been away which was why I wanted to access both camera's.
I did follow your instructions but it didn't work...in the Virtual Servers page I did get port 554 along with port 80 added to the static IP address that I had already given the second camera but I couldn't access it while away, so there were 2 server names listed with the same IP address and different ports after I restarted the router.

To be honest my understanding of the router is very basic so it could be something I am doing wrong or I may need additional software on my Samsung phone to see the camera while outside while using 4g.

Did you use your WAN IP address to try and access your IP camera?? (IPv4 Address/WAN should be listed under 'Status >> WAN' then switch to 4G or turn off your wifi on your phone and try to use this IPV4 address to access your camera eg http://82.68.44.22:80 or http://82.68.44.22:554)

Hi Billion_fan, Thanks for your help I didn't try using the WAN IP address but I have now with the same results...I have no idea what I am doing wrong...I changed the camera port numbers to 81 and 82 because I got a box saying that if I used port 80 another application would be changed to port 8080.

Port 8080 will only change to the routers external access port , internally this will stay as 80.

Can you access the device from your phone using the local IP followed by port 81, when connected to the local network?? Also can you view your IP camera from your phones web browser??
