I updated to the new firmware and stupidly had not backed up my settings. I eventually got back on, had problems getting the Internet light to go from orange to green. I made the following changes to get back on:

user: bthomehub@btinternet.com (did not think this was needed)?
pw: bt
Connection Type: PPPOA
VPI/VCI: 0/38
Encapsulation: vcmux

It worked so I am happy but looking to make sure everything is right....Thanks!

Everything looks fine to me (only BT can confirm your username and password)

Personally speaking I used my bt email address, and password which works fine.

Don't use the Billion, but I believe BT does not need the password to authenticate. It's just that some modems/routers insist on something being put in the box thats why with some routers a space, or any word entered is accepted.

BT's user booklets show the user name as bthomehub@btinternet.com. On my fritzbox I just hit the spacebar for the password.
