Aerial Orientation

Post by HenryHonda »

Had my 7800N since Saturday and already loving it :D Enabled PhyR (Downstream) and SRA, tweaked the MTU (laptop to match) and got 25% increase in downstream performance 8-)

My first Wi-Fi router with 3 aerials, I've wall-mounted it with front panel oriented up-down to one side:

- it's in an upstairs room, but I need to cover upper floor and lower floor.

What is the distribution pattern for aerials like this? How should I orient each of the three aerials to get best coverage?

Thanks in advance :)

I would have thought a flat surface would be sufficient - just visualize line of sight and adjust position so the direction isn't inline with any thick brick walls, such as firebreasts etc.
