Hi,

I am running the latest firmware and I thought that VPN endpoint had been introduced? I cannot find the menu for VPN anywhere, don't know if I'm being stupid or if something needs enabling?

Many Thanks

Nick

Its there, you need to be on firmware 1.06d and after the firmware upgrade make sure you reset back to factory default settings, for changes to take effect.

Its normally found under Advanced >> Configuration >> VPN >> PPTP

Thanks

I've updated the firmware to 1.06d and followed it with a hardware reset but the VPN option is still not available.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Are you sure you've selected the Advanced option? It's there on mine clearly enough.

Absolutely. Advanced then Configuration.
The list:
LAN
WAN
System
Firewall
QoS
Virtual Server
Wake on LAN
Certificate
Time Schedule
Advanced

Any clues?

What do you get if you access http://192.168.1.254/configuration/vpn.html ? (change IP in URL if you have changed yours)

Tried that and I get a login prompt which takes me to ....../configuration/ipsec.html. However that page is blank (all white space).

?

Suggest you delete existing firmware zip and extraction from where you saved it - download the firmware for the 7800N and redo the firmware upgrade.

Restart (ensuring Factory Settings button is selected) then Save Config and check again for the VPN option.
