flushing dns on 7800

if i have the option :
Use Router as DNS Server
enabled, does the 7800 cache dns info, and if so, can it be flushed ?
i'm getting conflicting results when using the router as a dns compared to if i use an external dns, and i can only put this down to the router returning old information.
