Hi
I have a BiPAC 8800AXL and when I login remotely, it uses http instead of https. Have I got a setting wrong or is https remote access not supported?
And if its not supported yet, is there a plan to roll that out in a future firmware update?
thanks,
Hadyn

HTTPS is not supported, just make sure you have setup a secure password for remote access.

Thanks for letting me know billion_fan, but I presume you're a user, not speaking on behalf of Billion themselves?
Do any Billion staff respond on these forum pages? Hopefully one of them can update us on the plan for it.
Security is a big deal. Surely HTTPS is the minimum requirement these days - my network storage box and other devices all support it.
And using a long/ "secure" password is no security against bots scanning through tcp/ip packets (since the password is sent in plaintext). It's the whole point of HTTPS.
Thanks,
Hadyn

I will add HTTPS access to our wish list and see what our engineers can do
